Warp and Weft: The Bright Weavings Newsletter
10th Anniversary Edition
June 15th, 2010
**********
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, a clever, talented, and most importantly - persuasive young woman wrote a letter to her favorite author. Not long after, the author teasingly suggested that one of these millennium the fair maiden should make him a website...
And, dear reader, she did.
Ten years ago, today, Bright Weavings went live, and readers and fans of the works of Guy Gavriel Kay have since reaped myriad benefits from Deborah Meghnagi Bailey's own brightly woven creation. The most comprehensive source for a dizzying array of GGK-related information, from bio to bibliography, cover art to community, news to reviews, and much, much more, Bright Weavings is a wonder among author sites. And moreover because it was and is completely a labor of love.
Which is why, a decade on and still going strong, we would like to commemorate both the site and Deborah's generous and continuous efforts to provide readers with a place to learn much more about novels they, too, relish. Countless visitors have found something they were looking for there that they would not have otherwise. And some have been surprised to find much more than they ever expected.
Happy Anniversary, Bright Weavings. And thank you, Deborah, from all of us.
